Customer Reviews of Trigeneration and Thermax Absorption Chillers

Here are six letters for sites where a cooling circuit based on Thermax absorption chillers and NCT equipment works with gas engines. Three letters were signed by site owners, three by contractors and general contractors. We state who signed because a contractor's letter confirms its own part of the work, not the owner's operating experience. None of the letters gives a payback period: only on-time delivery, commissioning and equipment operation.

What do customers write?

Syry Kubani dairy plant

Letter No. 124 of 4 August 2020 was signed by the plant's executive director, that is, the site owner. He confirms that a 3,500 kW Thermax lithium bromide absorption chiller and NCT VR4-4-ML3-T cooling towers were delivered on time: the absorption chiller in 20 weeks, the cooling towers ahead of schedule. Commissioning confirmed the declared performance. The machine cools water from 12 to 7 °C and from 6 to 2 °C. More about the project in the section on food production.

Osobino cogeneration unit (Belorusneft)

Letter No. 06-2271 of 15 July 2014 is signed by ZAO Belteplomashstroy, Minsk. This is the contractor for the site, not the owner. The letter concerns the delivery of a 280 kW Thermax LT 10C absorption chiller: the work was completed in full and on time, EAEU technical regulation (TR TS) declarations were provided, and the company is recommended as a reliable supplier.

Central Customs Administration building, Moscow

Letter No. 1173 of 29 July 2015 was signed by OOO Nord Kraft, Saint Petersburg. This is the general contractor for the construction of the energy center, not the owner. The letter thanks us for the on-time delivery of two Thermax LT 14 C absorption chillers in knocked-down form for the building basement, for the difficult rigging, installation supervision and commissioning.

NPF Mikran, Tomsk

Letter No. 6200/k of 15 October 2014 was signed by the deputy general director of the owner of a gas-fired energy center running in trigeneration (CCHP) mode. He thanks us for the delivery of two Thermax absorption chillers and two cooling towers. Shipment took place a full month ahead of schedule, despite the cargo being held up in Belgium because of the sanctions that had just begun. Aray City Mall, Kyzylorda

The letter was signed by the technical director of TOO Kyzylorda Kurylys NK, the owner of the shopping mall. There is no date on the scan; we published the news about the review on 27 February 2020. The customer thanks us for design, supply, installation supervision and commissioning: two Thermax absorption chillers (one on a gas engine, one gas-fired) with a total capacity of 2,200 kW and two NCT cooling towers operate without faults in the trigeneration system and save electricity. Davydovka cogeneration unit (Belorusneft)

Letter No. 06-2171 of 15 November 2013 is also signed by ZAO Belteplomashstroy; this is a contractor, not the owner. It concerns a 651 kW Thermax LT 14C absorption chiller: the work was completed in full, within the set deadlines and in compliance with regulations, and the company is recommended.

What do the letters not show?

The letters tell about delivery and start-up. They do not say how the machine behaved five and ten years later, and they give no payback period. For that there are the model feasibility studies and the site pages in the projects section. We have more sites than there are letters in this section.
